 Open Source Security Research Labs

We are a non-profit research lab specalizing in increasing open source software security, providing solutions that increase the reliability and security of operating systems and network components. This includes improving and augmenting existing software as well as providing new and innovative solutions to solve existing problems, covering all aspects of computer security from host security to privacy and anonymity in communications.

We create new security solutions and make them available to the public as open source software. Our research is published in peer-reviewed conferences.

 Current Status
The Open Source Security Research Lab has not yet been officially formed. Currently, we are investigating research agendas, potential funding via corporate sponsors or via research grants and available office space.

We plan to realize OSSRL as a non-profit organization that hires open source security researchers for project development. We are investigating locactions in Europe that provide a legal environment friendly to security research.

Please, direct all questions to Niels Provos.
